WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME
By Heidi Schreck
Directed by Leslie Ishii

Anax Yaa Andagan Yé / Juneau: September 12 to 28, 2025
Dgheyay Kaq’ / Anchorage: October 17 to 26, 2025

Heidi Schreck was not a typical teenager. Growing up, she spent her free time traveling across the United States and entering constitutional debate competitions to earn college tuition money. Yes, the Constitution. As in the Constitution of the United States. Now, as an adult, Heidi takes a closer look at the document that defined so much of her coming-of-age. This award-winning play offers a profoundly personal look at our nation’s most debated document and how it could evolve to fit our modern times. Hilarious and hopeful, this play resurrects Heidi’s teenage self and connects four generations of women to the founding document that shaped their lives.

Imagine for a moment that you have been asked to design the mansion of your dreams. What would you include in your dream home? Perhaps a pool, a home theater, maybe even a bowling alley? What about an entire shopping mall? Meet Alex More - a struggling actor in LA. Desperate for any opportunity, he takes a gig working in the Malibu basement of an iconic superstar. And yes, that basement is a full-fledged shopping mall. But what happens when the Lady of the house actually comes downstairs to say hello? This one-man tour de force will have you laughing, singing, and using your imagination.

PUEBLO REVOLT
By Dillon Christopher Chitto

Anax Yaa Andagan Yé / Juneau: March 6 to 22, 2026
Dgheyay Kaq’ / Anchorage: April 10 to 19, 2026

Revolution. Rebellion. Uprising. And also comedy? It’s 1680 in Nuevo México and Indigenous brothers Cochni and Henati are living under Colonial Spanish occupation. When Cochni proposes a Pueblo-led revolution against their oppressors, Henati is skeptical, but they soon find themselves in the middle of the action. One, a budding revolutionary, the other a gay idealist, this quirky pair must grapple with their beliefs, their morality, and what it takes to survive. Both laugh-out-loud funny and profoundly moving, playwright Dillon Chitto's brilliant use of modern language and ideas brings this significant piece of history into today.
